Our family takes priority in our lives. At times in the past, Tristan has changed his work plans and worked from home because there was something important that needed to get done and he wanted to make sure someone was there to take care of it. Chana has rearranged her work schedule to be there for family events. The two of us believe that our families come first and taking care of your family is the most important thing.

We love being close to both sides of our families. On weekends, we will often drive over to one of our parents' houses for dinner or go out walking around downtown. Chana goes out for monthly Sunday breakfast meals with her cousin who lives nearby. Tristan enjoys taking the train down to New York City to visit his brother who lives there.

Chana About Tristan: I admire Tristan's hard work and dedication to things. He does not dabble, but fully invests himself in things, whether it be his job or an interest. And what I love about my husband is his way of always finding a silver lining and finding positivity even in the darkest of times. He is a true ray of sunshine that I've grown to look for on cloudy days.

Tristan About Chana: I admire Chana's empathy and compassion. She is always looking out for others, putting her needs aside to make sure that other people's needs are met first. I love that Chana is understanding with people of all walks of life. She helps me become more understanding of others and has helped me view life from many different perspectives. Every day I am blessed to be married to such a wonderful woman who sees the best in me even when I do not.

A tradition of ours is going to baseball games whenever we travel. This has become a new family tradition. It is our goal to visit the stadiums of all 30 MLB teams. Tristan will buy a hat from the team store to commemorate our visit to the city and show where we've traveled. Though we like to travel to far destinations, we also enjoy going to closer cities where we can spend time in the car ride singing along to music we like while planning and picking places we want to eat, or a coffee shop we want to try before or after the game.

We are lifelong New Englander's and wear that as a badge of honor. We both have lived in multiple parts of Connecticut throughout our entire lives. We currently reside in a town that we feel is perfect for us.

We love that we have a community in our town. Across the street from us is a park with a children's science museum that we have taken our niece and nephew to as well as a large playground for children. When we go out for walks on the local walking paths, we see plenty of families going to the nearby aquarium or shopping downtown. The town encourages a strong sense of community by holding routine festivals around holidays.

We appreciate all the local coffee shops and restaurants that are within walking distance. We try to try new restaurants routinely especially if there is a cuisine that we have not had before. Our town is great for its diversity in its cuisine.

We are lucky to also work within the same town that we live in.

Though we appreciate our town, there is nothing more that we both like than taking trips to local towns and cities to appreciate quintessential New England life. We enjoy car rides to new coffee shops and exploring mom and pop stores.

We both love that our parents and siblings live close by because this means we can get together and not only spend time together but get to play board games, something we all enjoy.

Because of everyone's proximity, Tristan can visit his parents, and his brother will come by too. They can share a meal together and play a new board game.

We recently went to visit Chana's sister and her family as it was our niece's birthday. We were able to introduce our nephew to Magic the Gathering; a game we enjoy playing in our free time. We also played Amazin Labyrinth, a favorite childhood game of Tristan's. We enjoy being able to share something that our whole family enjoys and build memories with our families.

We love to invite our friends over as well and play cooperative games. No one gets upset when we all get to work together for a common goal. Or sometimes we will go over to our friends' houses and do mystery boxes or play video games.

However, not everything we do is surrounded by board games and entertainment, sometimes we just enjoy our family's and friend's company. Tristan will go and have lunch with his brother to catch up on life. Chana has routine breakfast outings with her cousin at least once a month, a tradition they started several years ago.

We do not just refer to each other as husband and wife, or best friends, but we also see each other as teammates. We work together as a team; and we want what is best for the team. We encourage one another to strive for their goals, because we truly feel that when one succeeds, we all succeed; and we cannot help but be happy for one another when we see the other do well in their own hobbies, interests, or career.

Though we have been together for over 6 years it feels as if we have been together for our entire lives as we have seamlessly interwoven ourselves together. We have our childhood toys together, we have decorated our apartment with our diplomas together, we have interlaced the memories of our past together as we build our future together. This child will join that future with their drawings hanging on the fridge, their school pictures adorning our walls, and their toys strewn across the floor. We look forward to sharing our childhood with theirs and creating new memories as we all grow together.

Both of our families have combined flawlessly as our parents have become friends, everyone celebrating birthdays and interacting, and we all go over to one another's places for the holidays. This child will become a part of our family, and we will be on the same team, and we will be their biggest supporters and cheerleaders. They will be encouraged to reach for their goals and aspirations; they will be comforted when they are sad; offered reassurance and security when they are scared, and their milestones and achievements will be celebrated.

If you chose us, we would be tied with you forever; we believe that we would all hold a special place in each other's heart. But not only would we care about you, but we would want you to feel that we care about you, and we feel that means having communication with each other. We would want to be able to send photos and exchange emails to offer you reassurance and give you peace of mind. We would want a relationship together that everyone feels comfortable and that you feel confident in the choices that you made. This child will be so lucky to have so many people that care, cherish, and love them.
