Justin & Erin
As a couple, we have always dreamed of being parents and couldn't be more excited to grow our family through adoption. We have the deepest respect for you and others considering adoption and truly appreciate your consideration of us as potential adoptive parents. As you read more about us, we hope you can see who we are as a couple and feel the love, support and family we would offer a child.
Our Leisure Time

In a typical week, we both work Monday through Friday until 4 or 5 p.m. In the evenings, we typically make home cooked meals to enjoy together. Our puppy, Huck, knows that once we are done with dinner, it's his chance to get a walk around the neighborhood. We enjoy this time together to get to catch up on the events of the day. It's also common for us to exercise in some way a couple nights a week, either at the gym, or running or cycling outside.
On the weekends we will often spend time with friends or family. We often relax by enjoying dinner at a restaurant in town, golfing, having a cookout, hosting game nights, etc. In the fall and winter, Sundays are usually spent watching football and cheering for the Indianapolis Colts. We are a family of Colts fans and try to travel to Indy each year to enjoy a game at the stadium. As a couple, we are lucky that we have found several hobbies like this to enjoy together.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other
Justin About Erin: When I first met Erin, I was immediately attracted to her kind and enormous heart. It did not take long for me to fall in love with her, and she is easily the best thing that has ever happened to me. Anyone close to Erin would describe her as extremely intelligent, loving, funny, and always caring for those around her.
Erin will be the best mother and role model to our child. She loves playing with children and reading to them. She is excited to be able to teach our child and watch them grow. I know she will be kind and gentle, as well as funny and loving. Always giving 110%, Erin is the hardest working person I have ever met. I know any child would be incredibly blessed to have Erin as a mother.
Erin About Justin: Justin is an amazingly loving husband to me and is absolutely my biggest supporter and best friend! The two things I love most about Justin are his big heart and his sense of humor. He's so fun to be around and there isn't anything Justin wouldn't do for his family or loved ones. I know without a doubt that Justin will be an amazing dad and role model to our child!
When I think about becoming parents, one of the things I am most excited about is being able to see Justin as a dad to our child. He will be outstanding! I know he cannot wait to read our child books using funny voices or teach them how to play sports and coach their teams. As excited as Justin is to have those experiences with our child, I think I am more excited to be able to witness that love and joy.
Why We Chose Adoption
As a couple, we have always known we wanted to start a family, hoping one day to be parents of two or three children. About a year into our marriage, we excitedly decided to try to start our family. At that point, we felt secure in our careers, owned a home in a nice neighborhood with room for children, and had support from very excited family members (especially the grandparents-to-be).
After nearly four years without much luck or good news from our doctors, we realized starting our family likely would not look the way most people envision it looking. When considering adoption or fertility treatments, in our hearts, adoption just seemed to be the path for our family. When we reached a very hopeless point in our journey with infertility, we were able to find an enormous amount of hope in the path to adoption.

Our House and Neighborhood

We both grew up in Indiana and went to college at Purdue University, but moved to Central Illinois in 2014 for a career opportunity. We feel very fortunate that our work brought us to this area because we have loved living in our town over the last 6 years. We currently live in a nice, inviting subdivision on a golf course. While walking our dog, Huck, every evening, we have met several other families in our addition, many with young children. We are excited that our son or daughter will have kids in the neighborhood to play outside with. Our neighborhood also offers plenty of trails and area for walking and biking.
While we've been trying to grow our family, we decided to move to a larger home with more room for a family. We love that our home offers a large open first floor with sight from the kitchen and dining to the family room. We recognize how important that will be with a toddler one day. We have a similarly open basement where we relax and watch football or movies on the weekends. The upstairs has a master bedroom, a guest bedroom, Justin's office, and a room for a nursery.
Our Extended Families

As a couple, we are extremely fortunate that our two families have truly come together as one big family through our marriage. Both of our families live within a short two hour drive of our home, and we all get together frequently to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and enjoy time together. Aside from holidays, our favorite get togethers with family are cookout in the backyard with games and plenty of good food. Justin's parents, Roz and Steve, are both retired and eagerly awaiting the chance to spoil their first grandchild. Justin also has one younger sister, Jessica, who will be an amazingly loving aunt to our child. Erin is also very close with her mom, Lori, and her sister, Lindsey. Erin's sister, Lindsey along with her husband, Roy, have two sons making us an aunt and uncle to two very fun and sweet boys.

In addition to the love and support from our families, we are lucky to have close friends that have become like a family to us. In our free time we often get together with our friends for game nights, cookouts, football games, and other fun events. It has been a blessing to have such amazing friends to enjoy life with.
From Us to You
We are Justin and Erin - a fun loving and happily married couple that has always dreamed of becoming parents. We have a deep respect for you and other birth parents considering adoption and appreciate you considering us as potential adoptive parents! Our hope is that as you read more about us, you are able to gain an understanding of who we are and the love, support and family we would offer a child.
How We Met
We first met in college while we both worked at a restaurant in our college town. From the time we first met, we always had an adoration for each other. After several years of dating, we married in June of 2014. Our wedding day was an amazing day full of love as we were surrounded by our friends and family.
We are fortunate to have a strong, committed marriage full of love and lots of laughs. As individuals, we are nearly opposites, but as a couple we bring out the best in each other. Erin is ambitious and more of a planner, while Justin is fun-loving and very easy going. Together we are able to accomplish our goals in life while enjoying lots of fun along the way.
Hopes for our Child
We are committed to providing our child with loving family bond that will act as a foundation for them throughout their life. We feel it is our job as parents to be there to love and support them and instill in them strong values. In terms of values, it is important to us that our children show kindness and respect to others, develop a strong work ethic, act with honesty and integrity, and value relationships with family and loved ones. We cannot wait to see how our child grows from year to year and becomes the person that only they have been created to be. As parents, we are excited to share in all the joys they experience throughout life and watch them make an impact in the world.
As adoptive parents, we hope that our child knows as much as possible about his or her identity and birth parents. We will always talk with our child about their adoption story and create an openness that allows for discussion anytime questions come up. As our child grows and asks questions about their adoptive parents, we will always explain their birth parents' extreme selflessness and love for their child. We are happy to provide whatever level of openness the birth parents feel comfortable with. We would gladly send photos or updates about the child periodically or even get together occasionally if possible.
Thank you for considering us as adoptive parents to your baby. We hope our letter helped give a glimpse into who we are as a couple. We would be forever grateful for the opportunity to love, nurture, and parent a child through adoption!
Best Wishes,
Justin & Erin
